We’ve still got our Warmachine/Hordes league running.

There are several of you that have been looking for Heroclix players.  Well, now we’ve got a local judge, a league, and have people that show up to play EVERY Thursday.  And it’s free.  Just show up and get your game on!

And if that’s not enough miniatures action, we’ve had Warhammer 40K players actually coming in to play regularly the past couple of weeks.  Check our message forum to get in on the discussion, meet players, and get a chance to battle.

Several of you have been missing our pinball machines.  We got two of them back in: Theater of Magic and Taxi.  Two good classics.

Some of you have mentioned that you’re not getting updates on our info that goes out.  Make sure you sign up on our message forum.  If you’re already signed up, make sure you’re using the same e-mail address.

Also, make sure you sign up for our Twitter and Facebook pages.  Those are linked right here on our homepage.  This will give you up-to-the-minute information on happenings in store.  And you also get sales and specials that we don’t promote any other way.

There’s Magic the Gathering Avacyn Restored prereleases next week (April 28th and 29th).

We’ve got a local group of players starting up a Heroclix league and gaming group, and we’ve stocked up on multiple sets for the game.

We’ve added weekly Pokemon and Cardfight!! Vanguard events to our schedule.

New Reaper Miniatures models are in.  They’re Bones line looks really good and are easily the most affordable fantasy models in the game.

Awesome new deck boxes from Fantasy Flight Games just arrived.

Tons of stuff going.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for our Facebook and Twitter pages so you don’t miss up to the minute info, sales, and specials.

We’re working on a few other things too.  These are the major updates for now, but definitely expect more in within the next two weeks.  We’re just working out a few details and some scheduling conflicts.

No need to get something that’s iffy. No need to try to be too fancy. And I’m pretty sure that whatever you buy for them here will definitely beat a box of chocolates

MAGIC THE GATHERING

Dark Ascension has really taken off. If you haven’t picked any up, you are definitely missing out on some cool stuff. People are already starting to make decks based around the cards in the set.

We’re still running our events as usual. We’ve got a Standard tournament this weekend with bonus prizes! We’re also looking to add some Legacy tournament to the schedule if there’s interest.

We should have a restock on Dark Ascension Intro Packs on Friday. And for those that need them, we have an extremely limited supply of Fat Packs in right now.

We also got copies of the Magic Comic Book #1 in today. This is a neat way to keep up with the storylines within the game. There is also an alternate art promo card in each one.

 
COLLECTIBLE CARD GAMES

Our players are beginning to show up for more games regularly. We’re getting more players requesting play for Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Cardfight Vanguard. Get on our message forum and Facebook page to exchange info and availability to we can get more events happening on these.

The YGO Dragons Collide decks are here and ready to be sold!

We just got in contact with the American Distributor for Cardfight Vanguard and should hopefully have the product in store within the next 7-10 days.

The new Pokemon boosters for Black & White Next Destinies should be arriving Friday afternoon.

We got a whole new selection of playmats in. Lots of different styles.

 
ROLEPLAYING GAMES

Wizards of the Coast had some neat Dungeons & Dragons releases this week. The most important of the items this week is the Heroes of Elemental Chaos player’s option book. This has some neat things for character building building.

There was also a new series of hardback graphic novel style D&D books from IDW Publishing. They tell the stories of various D&D characters. They’re pretty neat and are supposed to have follow-ups in the coming months. There’s even one based on the Dark Sun setting.

There was also a new Haunted Temples map pack.

Lots of dice restocks this week. This includes sets, d6 bricks, bags, and single dice as well.

Knights of the Dinner Table #183 is in.

We have more and more people clamoring to come play board games. We need to get more feedback on what days and times work for everyone.

We’re currently gauging interest in a pinball tournament. There seems to be some interest, but we want to make certain before moving forward.

We’re also entering week five of our Privateer Press Journeyman League.  This has been a good success.  The next normal league starts in just a few weeks.  Now’s a good time to get more stuff assembled and to get ready to rock.

The Game Closet has slowly been adding more events to our calendar.  Be sure to stay on top of that as to not miss out on all the fun.

If you haven’t taken the time to sign up on our message forum, you should definitely do so.  It’ll keep you up to date on weekly updates, restocks, and new releases.

We’ve got the Magic the Gathering Dark Ascension prereleases coming up this weekend.  We’ll be hosting events on Saturday AND Sunday.  This should make it easier for those of you that have busy weekends.  We’ll also be doing discounts and specials for those play multiple events this weekend.

Speaking of which, for starters, if you play Friday Night Magic this week and play in Saturday’s prerelease your name will go into a drawing for a prize.

Space permitting, we’ll be doing another Malifaux demo day this Friday as well from 2pm to 4pm.

We’ve got multiple organized store events for Dungeons & Dragons.  We’re also trying to round everyone up to play Warhammer 40K again.

We will also be hosting an MTG Standard tournament this Sunday.   Other events will happen as normally scheduled this week.

We will be closed on Christmas Day.  We will be open at our regular hours following Christmas.
